Very sad news Rob. A pity the money they are spending on that Dornier couldn't have been spent on the Lanc. Perhaps Fred would have seen her fly again...  :(

Very sad news Rob. A pity the money they are spending on that Dornier couldn't have been spent on the Lanc. Perhaps Fred would have seen her fly again...  :(

Saw that on the news today, what a waste of money pulling up that piece of kraut junk up from the sea, when instead it could have be spent getting a beautiful Lancaster to fly again.

Real shame he never got to see it fly  :'(

However, I hope it gives even greater momentum to the project (and additional donations?) so that it flies for the surviving brother and acts as a memorial to both of the brothers now passed away. :y

With Lizzie on this one.Hopefully greater impetus to get her airborne again.It would be a fitting memorial.
