all I've seen so far are relatively new stuff, how about some bikes that took some holding on to. Panther's, Velocettes, Ariel, BSA, Triumph ,Norton, Matchless, stuff before 12v lighting !!

How about this beauty, chaps?

My 1984 "B" registration Kawasaki GPZ 750 Turbo. It was a demonic little bastard. :y :y

Originally red and black, it was painted blue before I managed to get my paws on it. :-* :-* :-*

The best factory turbo by far........it went like shit off a shovel.

Yes!! Very nice Mr Opti!! Didn't they have a little digital display on the tank telling you which gear you're in?  ???

Competition time!! What's the car in the background of Mr Opti's photo?  :)  I reckon it's an Opel Ascona....  :y

Last bike I had-purchased as a restoration project to tinker with-got it circa 1970 for £8 was a 1954 Ariel 600 sidevalve single.Magneto ignition made night riding on poorly/unlit country lanes "interesting" to say the least!Rebore cost me £1 and then £15 to have a piston made to fit it!!Kicking it up was a mare,I've never weighed more than 10st 2lb in my life,so not much leeway for error in timing letting go the valve lifter!Never seen another one before or since, must say something for my taste in bikes!

Nope. :)....not an Ascona.

No digital gear indicator....it was Suzuki that was so fond of those. It did have a turbo boost gauge though.....and DFI. :y
