Saw it too, what they don't mention is oil service history? Usually these chains fail when they get brittle because of shit oil servicing

Saw it too, what they don't mention is oil service history? Usually these chains fail when they get brittle because of shit oil servicing

The chains break because the sprockets for the chain are too sharp and cause excessive wear, BMW are well aware of the issue, and what the problem is. They have even opened a PUMA case which is in a in-house BMW case and they won't issue a recall. That I'm afraid is fact and something they can't get out of, and I have all the details of the case in question ;).

Nope-these customers had them from bmw-thats why on Watch dog-lets face it-they cut corners-saving money-all manufacturers do-unfortunatly

BMW have had various other premature component failures which they have denied as well. Swirl flaps, 19 inch alloys cracking etc. Its a shame really. They used to be a brand that epitomised driving with reasonably good customer service, but have now moved on to being concerned about profits only.

Oh, and creating hideous hybrids with just the odd well designed car.

I used to be an ardent BMW fan, but have long lost interest in them due to the above issues. And the fact that every cock, penis and wart seems to own one.
