2.6 Transmission questions

Hypothetical questions really:-

1) What's the effect of replacing an AR25 with an AR35 in terms of acceleration, RPM at say 30, 50 and 70 and overall MPG?
2) What's the effect of replacing an AR25 with an R28 Manual box and 3.45:1 Diff from a 2.2DTi in terms of driveability (eg around towns in the lower gears), revs at 70 (or maybe a little more  ::)) in 5th and overall MPG.

Appreciate MPG is entirely dependent on right pedal / right foot interface but looking for peoples thoughts.

True, although I never really used the clutch in my DTi much after pulling away from standstill in 1st, only really when shifting down.  :-X
