Despite being born and bred on the Emerald Isle,I have never really developed a taste for the black stuff. I don't dislike it,but have a pint of it maybe twice a year when Im in the mood.
My son on the other hand......

Luckily I don't suffer from hangovers. NEVER EVER had one.

When I was young, and stupid, I told a friend of mine that at an afternoon BBQ.
He insisted on me proving it.

4 cans of Guinness.
6 cans of stones.
2 pints of bulmers.
4 cans of fosters.
A bottle of red wine.
1/4 bottle of Gin (don't like gin)
followed by brandy into unconsciousnes at 11.30pm

Woke up at 7 next morning and made everyone breakfast. 
Didn't even attempt to drive for 2 days afterwards tho...

Guinness 

To be honest I rarely drink anything other than Guinness, especially if going out. Do occasionally have a bottle of Spitfire or something from the Wychavon brewery when it's on special offer.

Very fond of a guinness myself have to say. Its true that a bad pint is horrible and really offputting but guinness have put a lot of effort into making sure that the pipes are cleaned regularly and from what I've seen its very seldom you get a bad pint anywhere these days. They have guys on the road full time checking pubs to make sure that the guinness lines are well cleaned and that the pints are good. No guinness will ever beat the pint you get in the sky bar in the brewery in Dublin and the pints all round Dublin are amazing but I've always found that the extra cold guinness is pretty much the same everywhere.

I think the best I've ever done was one friday evening in Edinburgh. 13 pints of Guinness after work, then we went home at 10pm and got changed to go out for the night. Cant remember what we had to drink after that but still managed to get up the next morning at 6.30 for work. Have often drank it for days at a time if there was a wedding or any other reason to celebrate, I find its best to keep the bog roll in the freezer if your on guinness for a few days.

I don't know if it ever travels "darn sarf", but if you ever get a chance to experience "Theakston Old Peculier" - try it.

I find it a very similar taste to guinness, but slightly more palatable, and it doesn't sit as heavily on the stomach.
Be warned tho - it has twice the effect of Guinness. If you try to drink 10 pints of it, you will know about it! (or not, as was the case with me - until the next afternoon - I still don't know how I got home. I fell asleep in Leeds, woke up in a pub in Wakefield  )

Lol, I used to drink it all the time in the Junction in Otley, had many a nights like that

Love Guinness, mostly what I drink and have done for the last 25 years or so unless I find a pub with Black Sheep Special or Timothy Taylors Ram Tam 
The only larger I drink is Tuborg after getting a taste for it in Copenhagen.

Lovely runny fried eggs,  bacon, leftover BBQ burgers and sausage. Black pudding, tomatoes, fried baked beans, mushrooms

a serious question, I dont get hangovers either, something about your metabolism Im told, also anesthetics dont work too well on me,
the dentist cannot numb me, and the only time I had a general they had to give me a second dose, but I still woke up on the table.
