Sorry fellas, I had an update a few days ago, but I did not want to flood the forum, so it became 'borish' as serious as the situation is. There is no significant change, but I have copied Jane's last message, so its from the horses mouth, so to speak...........
Hi Tony / Christine
Latest update is much of the same. They took Paul off sedation again yesterday mainly I think to see how he copes with his breathing. It was better than last time but too be honest that is not saying much. He can breathe on his own but needs to be supported with 50% oxygen and his blood pressure and heart rate goes through the roof. He does move about alot but the docs tell me that it seems to be the body twitching as he does not respond to commands still.
They tell me that this is not uncommon as Pauls lungs still have a long way to go and his energy is going to all his vital organs and lungs. They are still not sure if he is in a coma still either. Had a meeting with the docs as Paul has had another scan which had also been sent to Kings for a second opinion. They can see the damaged vessel and should be able to repair it, but they will only do this when his lungs have recovered and that he also shows off of sedation that he will follow verbal commands. So it is still this awful waiting game till his lungs are better which will still take weeks to see how much brain function is left.
So I do not know if this is positive or not, he is no worse and there has not been anymore bleeds so thats great I just have to try and think positve and hope the bleed that he has had has not damaged his brain so much that his has no quality of life .
Thanks for all the support it has been lovely to read all your good wishes
