Not my favourite rider it must be said, however you've got to admire the mans precision lap after lap.Pity he's out of this one as it hurts his championship chase somewhat and favourite or not I'd like to see an "even"fight for the title.

Just seen the crash on a recording. Quick. Very quick.

Soaking wet, standing water, probably too much water under the rear, little flick and over the top he went.

...and obviously in agony waiting for, and in, the Ambulance.

Meanwhile,Crashlow has taken pole position. Don't forget - its a Saturday race at Assen. ;)
Lorenzo racing just after havinga plate put in is perfectly feasible I would have thought.
Marquez broke a finger and a toe this morning apparently.

Lorenzo has ridden on to the track for the sighting lap.  :o

Looked perfectly comfortable riding round to 12th on the grid. Incredible.

Watching the Eurosport delayed programme btw.

And a few bad races trying to find the setup that allows him to ride it the way he wants to also didn't make him a has been who should be elbowed in favour of Crashlow either. ;)  I suspect he will do better the rest of this season and will continue riding next year. The only remaining question (which has always been the only question for me) is,does he still have enough in his tank to beat Lorenzo as he used to do on a regular basis.Only time will tell on that one,as its a very big question indeed. Lorenzo just keeps getting better and better, and the GOAT isn't getting any younger.
This year may well be the pinnacle of Crutchlows career imo.He desperately wants a works ride, with the money and kudos that brings. That means riding for Ducati or possibly Suzuki when they return. If he goes down that route he will move back down the field.
Dovi outclassed him on the Tech3 bike when he was his team mate, and he is struggling badly on the Ducati now.
