Sure, if you want the dog to overheat a puke all over the place, then putting it in a bag/box in the middle of the car and away from the windows will be fine ::)

Leave the air con on should be cold enough for it.
It is as much about airflow as temperature, starting to worry about the dog now tbh :-\

No need Al. I'll take care of everyone including the dog i live with her and do care for her just dont make it obvious as a King Charles ain't really what youd call a manly dog  :-[ I'm not bloody cruel you know Al just trying to find the best solution to bringing the dog safely along in a saloon obviously an estate would have been more ideal but not so much for a small lapdog dog imo

Don't get me started on the hairs they leave behind  ;)

Thanks for the input guys, I like the idea of the harness combined with the bag pouch thing  :y

You said you had leather seats, not a problem then, try a fat old lab and cloth seats, then you will know about hairs........ :'( :'( :'(

Only pulling a leg not fussed about hairs but yeah fabric seats would gather a few wouldn't they  :o

How do you work that out then. I only mentioned the word hair to brighten the thread.. Sorry I tried.

I never mentioned hairs in the original #1 post  ??? ..

Safety of the dog and to keep her in place to prevent damage to leather , door card etc. that may be caused by the nails was my main goal. And thanks to other members I've found some solutions. Thanks.  :)

If you don't want to chance the dog damaging the car, then the easiest thing would simply be not to let it in the car to begin with.

I'd also love to know which hire companies don't allow dogs in their cars.

;D Nice try, but tongue in cheek efforts are wasted me thinks ::)

If you've still got the 2.2 and are genuinely concerned about the dog destroying the Elite, then why not use the 2.2 instead.  :-X

You need the Canine Leather Upholstery Protection System available from most decent charity shops!!  :)

Tell the owner that if the dog shits, pisses or in anyway damages your car they're walking home!! Simple!!  ::)  :y

You worry too much.  ;)
