10 most expensive countries for petrol
« on: 05 July 2013, 18:55:01 »

They are all in Europe and the UK is not one of them.

Turkey is second, but with low wages, prices are by far the biggest percentage of wages after tax!  ???

This explains why cem has a clit for day-to-day use.

Yes, I know it is the ghastly Daily Fail, but at least it is not behind a pay wall.  >:(

For drivers in Britain, 80p of the 133p paid for a litre of unleaded goes to the Government, which is a combination of duty and tax.

Norway has always been an expensive country. 20plus years ago beer was over £5 a pint.

I see France is there in the top 10, but although petrol might be a tad more expensive than Blighty, I paid €1.29 a litre for diesel at French supermarkets last week.

Diesel has always been cheaper in France as a nod to their transport industry.

I will add to the conspiracy theory here. The timing of this reporting is spot on. Why was it not released a few months back when we where paying £1.42. I know they mention it but all the same  ::)

As they say timing is everything  :-\

And me. The Fail is free on line , in the same way that cheap wheat products flood the food market. Its a way of keeping the working class, working class/Fat miserable and skint.

Its all part of the ruling classes plan, you know. ;)

Crude oil prices have risen this week and the pound has plummeted in the last couple of days, so expect petrol and diesel to start going up soon....  :(
