No, heard good things at work. The managers have them. But then they had some Samsung thing before.

They look and feel very nice, you instantly get the impression that it has a solid build quality (probably thanks to the aluminium case).

Audio quality isn't bad from the two front facing speakers, although I doubt that is high on your list of requirements.
The only things that would put me off buying one is the inability to remove the battery, as well as the inability to add extra storage (although you'll be used to that as an iPhone user).

Other than the recent revelation that the iPhone 5 is slower than a Galaxy S3, is there any particular reason you are considering Android?

have got the HTC 1, was hoping that they had taken the Desire HD and improved on that, but it appears the 1 has been designed from the ground up, what can I say about it , its FAST, fantastic screen, brilliant sound ,relatively easy to set up, but when I transferred my contacts across, my profile is/was not complete, so whether i'm not looking in the right place/way not sure. marks out of ten about 8.5, not quite as impressed as I hoped I would be, and not as easy to set up and use as my old nokia 6310i. but I don't think there's anything on the market i'd swap for !

It would appear to have a curved back, does it rock when tapping the screen when its flat on a desk? I hate that.

Looks well made though.  The handset itself cought my eye, which is rare.

iPhone speakers are good IMO. When its layed end on to your ear ::) while looking at the screen the sound is poor.

Battery sealed in is no problem at all. It only has to last until the next upgrade , although thats 24 months later.

And its an Android set then. Wasn't sure tbh. Don't know enough about Android to be bothered by that or not, as the last Android set I encountered was years ago and I hated it, but its probably evolved way beyond that by now. I'm not irritated by iOS enough to move away from it yet, although it does need the coming re vamp.

;D and Mr Ian, yes it does ;D

After a couple of really poor HTC phones, it would take a hell of a leap of faith to buy another. If Google every got Android to work well enough, I think I'd be going for a Galaxy (probably Mini, as the full size Galaxys are too big for me).

But, I'm stuck with crApple for now. I hope IOS7 isn't too radical, as all that bumfluff doesn't interest me. I want a phone that just works, easy to use, integrated, reliable and flexible. IOS6 does that more than well enough for me.
