There is a thread on there somewhere to which the forum members post hidden features that they have found and which do not appear in hand book.

You will need to be careful which model of phone you want to pair with it. That model will love S60 platform Nokias as it uses Rsap which is not supported by some more modern phones although I think the Galaxy S3 may be ok.

Warrantywise is worth a look to offset risk of major repair bills.

The Phaeton is HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGEEEE. It dwarfs the Omega. I think they weigh in at about 2300 KG.

Had 3 Passats. They maybe made by the same company but they are leagues apart. I have yet to find a switch or fitting which has been used on both. The ride home was a real eye opener. The ride, noise levels etc were a real eye opener. I've not been in a modern Bentley or Rolls Royce but I've never experienced anything like it.

If I did a lot of town work with no long runs I would think about one,although Vauxhall Ampera seems to give best of both worlds...............at a price

I was actually surprised at how good it was.  0-60 6.9 secs would give most cars a run for it's money

The thing that turned me off was the inability to carry my triathlon bike on the back.  There's no way you can fit a bike carrier to it.

I saw a Vauxhall Ampera in a car park last week so I thought I'd check out how much they cost.. £37,000! And they get 50 miles on battery and then a whole 310 miles to a 35L tank..

Sooo about the same fuel economy as Amy's 995cc Micra from 2001? Somehow doesn't seem worth £37k (or £43k by the time I'd put the options on)

The Phaeton is a really impressive package, but for myself at least, something doesn't quite add up I suspect the catch is an electromechanical one... but aesthetically it really irritates me that the front door interior handles don't match (on any VW group car), and the steering wheel boss looks boxy. Both stupid things, but I could never buy a car that  irked me whenever I'm sitting in it

That said I think it is a much better prospect than the rather more pretencious Audi A8 and therein lies the quandry...

Don't kid yourself.. They run on (mostly) fossil fuels too. They've just moved the exhaust pipe out of sight.
