Cooking and juggling

For tea, I am doing a piece of gammon, new potatoes and petit pois with pineapple garnish. Young 'un says no, so he's having chicken dippers, chips and beans. Doggie always has a nice pork chop before her evening walkies.
None of these is difficult, but all three ready at the same time is somewhat perplexing. Wish I hadn't retired and taken over cooking duties sometimes. :(

'Fraid not. She is being 'done' in a couple of weeks, and next doors dog wants children. :(

You can't go wrong with pub grub like gammon and pineapple......Even I could coo........Oh, I forgot, I have a wife for the menial chores. :)

I've spent my time in commercial kitchens whilst running boozers and cooking meals is not a problem, getting them all ready at the same time is an art.

Obviously, when working to a menu of 50 or so dishes, you get to know how long things take, and experience of cooking that menu makes the 'art' simple.

It's only me and the Missus at home now, but when family visit (some of which have strict dietary needs) it does take a little bit of skill and a lot of luck to have everything come together at the right time.

I do all the cooking..... the Wife can burn water!  :-[
