Assuming Auto;

Car locked into Third gear (much like Ice Mode).

Assuming Auto;

Car locked into Third gear (much like Ice Mode).
i get all the gears but kick down is slow

If an engine fault, then *usually* yes, if a transmission fault then I'm unsure.  On other Vauxhall's (the Omega may be the same) the 'Sport' light would flash if a transmission fault occurred.  :-\

First thing to do is check tha ATF level

Second thing check Charging Voltage, High Alternator volts can throw the Autobox into Limp Mode.
