I love the older BMW's, we had a 535 at work all black, decrommed.
He fitted a 6-2-1 Exhaust on it with what I reckon was the 1st ever proper big bore system I ever saw, it repalced the twin pipes for a 3" to 4" stainless sytem that retained the central position in the centre of the car.
It became so powerfull he couldnt keep traction on the road evem after upgrading all the suspention.
He went on to have the modded big valve heads and the fuel system upgrated. Pirelli P7R's that completely filled the arches.
That gave him the traction in the end. The down side he went on the tear the propshaft apart, and when that was fixed the power tore the body work apart thar held the rear suspention on.
Bloody awsome car, but then the guy didnt have a budget as it was all put through the business.
He also had an E-type convertable and even had an Escort BDG rally car that he won his his class with in the Lombard RAC that year.
Money buys some wonderfull cars, unfortuneately I can only dream of them.
My bonus though, was with them being company cars I got to ride in most of them when I was younger and once I passed my test I even got to drive a few of them.
Ah well, 40 winks overs, the good old days eh!, back to reality.
