......how many Brittish Leyland cars will you admit to owning?

I've owned three.

A 1972 Triumph 1500 with FWD

A 1976 Triumph 2500S.....the one with the Stag wheels

A 1981 Austin Princess 1700......Given to me by my FIL.

All three cars were uniformly shite.

Yep mine was 1963 so BMC then.....I think

I believe that British Leyland was formed around 1967/68.

Not many but the best and the worst was an auto 1800 Marina in a tasty sort of golden brown colour.

None for me , as my mate had an allegro and put it though a brick wall when it failed to turn the corner  Often wondered why i wasnt happy in a passenger seat after that

I had a Marina Coupe 1800 TC in a fetching mustard colour with thick black go-faster stripes!  I think it was circa 1980. 

I also had a '96 Rover 218 diesel (Non turbo) which chugged about happily on veg oil, until I accidentally shorted the electrics while changing the glowplug relay.

His is a TR4A
