These cars are nothing Richie in the "dangerous" stakes!  

You should have seen my 1960 A40 with a chassis so rotten the bodywork, which had holes everywhere, was no longer attached to it, and when it rained there was more rain inside the car than outside!

It also used a gallon of oil per ten of fuel (knackered valves, seals and piston rings) to anger the environmentalists if it was still around today!
 

Mind you it still had a valid MOT!

The Pug306 Gti6 is a cracking motor for the money hence the high resale values. The best of cars will "let go" if you push 'em hard enough. I think the said journalist is missing the point.
