Auto gearbox problem
« on: 08 August 2013, 15:32:14 »

Hi all
My gearbox is not working in "D" mode, works fine when using the gears manually & there was no warning lights showing.
I have removed the selector switch & cleaned the contact & refitted & aligned the switch using the alignment points with a suitable drill bit. Then I got the orange spanner light on the dash. I connected my ebay version "My Naff Code Reader" & the gearbox code was p0748 pressure solenoid intermittent. I then carried out the gearbox oil level sequence & I am now getting p0748 unknown DTS permanent. I have double checked the selector switch alignment & it is good. Anyone have any ideas?

according to my manual that code is electrical,i would suggest that you remove and reseat the two electrical connectors on the slushbox.
