Thanks everyone :y

Good Luck Guffer!  :y  I hope you find the transition to civvie street an easy one!!  :)

I was a civie before joining so I found it easier than most do.  In many ways I failed to be fully indoctrinated unlike many of the idiots I worked for ::)

Did you not fancy carrying on nursing in Civvie Street :P

Have you seen how little a nurse gets paid?  Besides I was only an amateur in medical stuff compared to the fantastic boys and girls I led.

Dont forget to pack your old 'work suit' with plenty of mothballs Guffer, you never know when your Country may need you again! :y ;)

I wouldn't keep a set of uniform, oh no, not me  ::)

IT security consultant.. phew.. hard job..

Strangely enough it's a field that I enjoy a lot.  I thought the medics could use my expertise in IT so under my own steam I developed my understanding and quals in IT Security.  I was then in a job where it was my job to find IT Sec problems but my recommendations were ignored to their peril.  I figured if they weren't going to listen to me and instead waste lots of money in fines then so be it.  IT Security pays very well on civie street so I got out.

Besides, IT Security Consultant is easier than dodging missiles and bullets :y

It's proving to be more difficult that I thought.  I saw some scruffy scrotebag walking around in public with no beret on and jabbering in to his mobile phone.  I was about to tear him a new one before I clicked and had to stop myself ;D ;D
