new memeber with Windscreen washer problems
« on: 19 August 2013, 17:39:53 »

Hello all

New to the forum, and looking for help

Vauxhall Omega 2.2 the windscreen washer doesn't pump through to the screen.  I've changed the pump and when placed in water it work and pumps away.  When i place it back on the water tank nothing is coming out !!

Am i missing something?

Can you hear pump? If so, remove pump, then remove the rubber grommet/filter that the pump nozzle fits in, and clean all the white gunk out of it.

Pump is good and runs, the outlet to the washers is spraying weakly and has white foam.  I'll clean out the filter tomorrow and see if that works

Under-steer is when the front of the car hits the wall, and over-steer is when the rear of the car hits the wall.
Power is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how much of the wall you take with you.

I think that sorted it.  Although the water tank is pretty thick with sludge, could include frogs, but i got it working.   Splashed in a large dose of clearing fluid and see if that does the trick

Thanks for the help
