Pure Craftsmanship! Something that was taken as a 'Given' at the turn of Century, nothing less would do! It is still evident today although in much reduced numbers in the 'Modern' world unfortunately, as we rely far too much on mechanisation & Technology to turn out the mediocre in vast numbers! :(
