Strugging to get on upper heat shield. RH exhaust manifold
« on: 07 September 2013, 14:57:14 »

X84GNB 2.5 V6 petrol estate
Changing RH exhaust manifold and gasket
Got it all apart, now reassembling. Have got on the manifold, and lower heat shield. I cannot get the upper heat shield into position; am obstructed by a water pipe, aircon pipes, and the cam cover. It came off easily enough. Is there a trick?

Relax chaps, I've finally got it in, and put in one screw - two to go, including the one at the back. This is a job and a half.

I think I didn't bother putting one back on when I did mine years ago, never caused an issue
