do the 3.0l police omegas have a little more poke then the stranded 3.0l ??

No ....... but overall 0 to 60 is likely to be quicker if they have an LSD with a 'faster' diff ratio

Ive come across a few that were Chipped / Remaped, and come across one that was Remaped with Enlarged Throttle Boddies and G + G Cams, did seem to make a difference on poke.

As Andy says, some but not all had Higher LSD Diff Ratio's again slightly improving acceleration.

As above some have different diffs to aid 0-60 at top end expense, engines generally standard  :y

Do have beefier alternators though for police kit :)
