Well -- I bought it from the guy who got it from Tunnie, along with free access to an X reg, same model and colour, to make 1 of the 2, as a project.
One had to go to the breakers and I decided to keep GNU alive ( for my sins! ).
Re-assembled the engine she came with (well my son in law did!) (most of it was there!). Can't get rid of the tap -- hoped getting the oil to flow back up there would have helped -- but no such luck! So -- sod it -- she is getting the younger engine (73k).
Idle crap on gas ( as you know) -- might be an earthing problem again -- wasn't going to look at that again until the new engine is in.
Tidied up the wiring, replaced split intake pipe, sorted mis-matched rear shocks, replaced faded mirror shell and re-sprayed both bumpers and spoiler as well as nicking a good wing from the X reg ( along with many other small items).
Drivers door check strap repaired.
Dave DND sorted the CD player, current wheels came from donor as I preferred them -- might change again soon.
She runs well on petrol -- apart from that tap ( which I swear disappeared for a few hundred yards on gas!).
Once the new engine is in place, try to sort the gas, then she'll have the irmy grille that is sitting in the garage and tints.
Far from being the shed that Tunnie referred to her as I think she will turn out just fine

. After all she has had the best putting her back together over the last couple of years ( Finlay, James, Tunnie, TB ).
