Well, fitted another Dis pack to my Mig today, good job I have skinny arms and hands, bit akward to say the least. Scratches on my arms and the back of hands.

Haynes Manual has the wrong firing order listed for my car, which had me all confused.

 However VXL V6 sent me a photo, Thanks, which showed that I was right.

Car has been stood since November and the Battery is flat, no problem, don’t  need to put a charger on it cos I have this new all singing all dancing Halfords Powerpack with Jump Start, has a nice light on it, other bits and an Inverter, all of which work.

Connected it up, needed a stool as leads ridiculously short and it didn’t work. Faffed about, getting nowhere, read the instructions, was doing it right, put a multimeter on no power.

Took it back to Halfords and changed it, got home and noticed a big yellow label attached to the handle, actually the old one had one but I cut it off when I bought it.

Label says that car battery must have 1.5 volts of power or this powerpack wont work.  How bl&&dy stupid is that? Car only has 1.2 volts.
So I still don’t know if I have got rid of my misfire.
Battery charger out tomorrow, for a while anyway.

Heres hoping   quite often you will have some form of split or corrosion down the sides - but not always.

Intresting the Haynes manual says dis pack is a 4 spanner rated job ( pretty difficult then)

Changing is easy enough if you have the right drivers, it's the access that is difficult, working by feel.
The Haynes manual had me oofing for help as I thought I had the leads on the wrong way.
