Decided to do check the codes on one of the 3.2 ex iPlods, seeing as its never shown any in its time with me, surprised to find 2 codes, the famous 420 and 430, (o2 sensors), but no indication on the dash? just to check pulled a plug to to create a different code, which showed on the dash and the reader.

So start to think could the O2 sensor issue have been by passed somehow so as not to show EML lights? by the Force that owned Her, is so, how easy would it be to do this and could this not be a solution or a way forward for the O2 Sensor issues on these cars?

Have cleared the codes for now and will re read them in a few days time.

Codes show in memory at one level (pending), but on the EML at a higher level (active). My reader will allow me to read "pending" codes which are the ones in memory just waiting for the error level to rise enough to reach the EML threshold.

Clearing codes clears both pending and active simultaneously (on my code reader anyway !)

Understand, but the codes where on the active list and not showing as pending.

I'm not sue how the ecu works with these codes, but it does SEEM there is a threshold before the light comes on, as I've also had both codes show by pedal trick but no eml on. It did come on soon after though.

Needs somebody with capability to read the ecu functionality to sus it I guess. ..?

Like the LT trims drifting off, a code is stored once it reaches a certain threshold, but has to go beyond this to bring on EML.

Had my car for 6+ years now whenever i do the pedal trick or have the codes read it always shows 0430. never seam to get any other codes or the light on.

Possibly, with the right gear and knowledge of the (proprietry) source code.

Far easier to move the lamdas

Well, after all was set up and to to hand at the meet today, half hour a car to cut holes, weld bosses, fit sensors, bolt up the old holes, job done.

Not bad if you have the equipment to hand, as Master did.
