On that basis my car isn't worth the price of an oil filter ::)

Hell I probably shouldn't wash it either...

I'm wondering if it's worth spending so much time driving mine. ;D
Well with winter on the way why would anyone want a car with a heater, heated seats or even a roof for that matter ::)

Well, you might if you're a girl, I suppose. ;) One that exhibits a modicum of traction when faced with an icy road surface, on the other hand... :-X

Which is where the 1200kg weight difference actually works in the Omegas favour for once ;D

Seriously considering replacing the heater matrix and thermostat before the end of October... ::)

No it's not a wind up but if you want to lend me the money to do it and how much do you put towards a car my last one cost me £2,500 and I spent £2,500 on it in repairs should I of spent another £500 on it I got rid and brought the omega as a stop gap but finances and time mean I can't pay garage prices and I work away all week so stuck between a rock and a hard place

That's fine, it's your car and your money ;) But don't give bad advice to people who are willing to maintain their cars properly ::)

Had you bought an Omega instead of your last car, you would probably be £2k better off... either way, not servicing a car is a guaranteed way to have to spend alot more money on it, as it will definitely break more often than a well maintained one :-\

I wasn't giving bad advice I've always maintained my cars and regularly serviced them but at the min times are hard and I know I'm living on borrowed time and there not many on here who near me that can do the covers and belts or they haven't come forward there was one but we could never seem to find a time when both available and local garage wants £500 for the jobs

I know the cam covers seep but seals when engine gets hot dealer changed water pump but never did the belt glad it's not my local dealer just not got the knowledge to do belt or covers and can't justify £350 to have the work done might sell it or scrap it if belt breaks

I seem to recall an OOFer was offering to do this for £100 inc. parts, and it would be done properly!

Sorry mate, but just because you say you can't afford to have your cam belt kit done, don't give the impression to others that its ok to ignore a fundementally important servicing issue - that's not helpful!  >:(
