Im sure the final cost will be far more than £42 Billion  :( Pity the road network is falling to bits but thats not important  ::)

and the final cost was....?

I need to check the figures but it came in way over budget. :y

I thought we knew all this.

Governments,of whatever colour, have always wasted money, one reason being they always have to manage by committee.   If you are looking for a future inefficiency and subsequent failure, then always manage by this system! ::) ::) ::)

Mind you, dictators are even worse! :D :D :D ;)

Overall though, no surprises for me. ;)

I once incurred the wrath of my liberal minded very PC offspring by suggesting that a good dictator or a good autocracy can be better than a bad democracy  :o I still think that to a considerable extent. I don't care if it's true or not it's great to wind people up.   ;D

Every government project to date has been over budget, it's so far normal that it's a standard part of the T&C's when they sign a contract that any project will cost at least double and take three times longer than stipulated to complete.

Of course it's true!  Democracy only works when the voters have a common interest.  Unfortunately, that is never the case.

On the other hand, there is a fine line between Socialism and Communism.......... As a poor person. I'll vote for communism and have a share of this so called wealth! :)
