Hello, can anyone who has excel look at the following files and, hopefully, give me a clue as why my omega idles badly and hesitates on acceleration for a couple of seconds.

I have changed all rubber 'O' rings on injectors and under the top plenum.
The EGR valve was replaced as it had failed open circuit but it made no difference.
Everything I have tried has made no difference at all.

can someone please help before my wife drives me mad complaining about the amount of time I am spending on trying to fix it.

All breathers OK?

Idle Air Control Valve clean?

Cam covers oil tight? .... ie pull the HT leads & check that your plugs aren't swimming in oil

All breathers appear to be OK.
Idle Air Control Valve looks clean. if I disconnect the power to it a loud hissing can be heard.
I have pulled off all HT leads and cleaned them up, but they were not very dirty anyway.

It's difficult to tell whether IACV ss clean by looking  You need to spray carb cleaner down on to the rotary valve & give it a good shaking .... repeat till the cleaner comes out clean. Spray inside then with a light oil

HT leads ..... it's obvious if the cam covers have gone - the HT lead pulls off the plug & is dripping with oil and the plug itself is drowning

if you want to see a perfect idle you have to look a perfect working engine (piston rings,valves,stem seals , lifters,ignition components  etc) with all the sensors.. and unfortunately 97 ecus rarely lit the eml for bad idle..
 
mine is also 97 and I have changed loads of things..   however bad acceleration is a good hint.. I recommend having a live  tech 2 session..
 
is it auto..
 
ps: also compare it to another known healthy car ..

pps: unfortunately ignition components dont bring any eml..

with tech2 you can get the plugs sparked one by one and easy job to identify the faulty cylinder.
