I passed Vauxhall Luton on the way up to Hitchen this morning, I recollect many moons ago, this was the home of the Vectra. Now its the home of the Vivaro, not my favorite van . I know all the boffins on here probably know this but not yours trully. Where is the home of the Omega, is there one?

Correct, thats where every single one was built, including the Catera variants.

However, ALL Omega V6 petrol engines were made in Ellesmere port & shipped to Germany for "marriage" into the rest of the car. So, the majority of the cars will have a major British component.

Other British parts include the electric window mechanisms and seatbelts which were made (by GM) in Belfast.

Armoured Omega s did nt have electric windows, well at least the ones in Belfast didnt

PM him your registration number and he can tell you almost everything about your Omega.

Mine was already 18 months old before it was actually registered.
