Have used them a few times in the past. Ok prices usually and they fit at home/work, so relatively hassle free. So booked 2 tyres for this Sat in advance of MOT next Thursday. Because I am in Leeds this weekend, I booked a fitting at friends house.
8am they turn up, start fitting. New tyre 1 goes on and as old tyre 2 is about to be removed, I look at new tyre 1 and it is not the one I ordered. ie I paid for Hankook Optimo 4s and they fitted the icept winter tyres. So told the fitter there was an issue and he looks at me as though I am mad. Looks through paperwork and I am not mad, I did place the order correctly.
Main office cannot help till Monday. I need to be back in London Monday 9am. To make things worse, one of the tyres has a chunk of rubber missing as well (only identified today as it was on the inner edge), so the tyre change really needed to happen today. The other wheel now has the old tyre back on but is not balanced. What a mess.
To say I am not impressed is an understatement. Don't think I will be using them in a hurry again.
Now my options are to go to somewhere like the dreaded Kwik fit to get a new but unrelated set of tyres. Or a set of part worn's to tide me over till I get back to London. I have never used part worns before and I really don't know what to do. Not sure I want to drive all the way back to London on one unbalanced tyre and another with a bit of rubber missing.
