Bought a Mig estate, to replace our aging Mig estate, off ebay last year, lovely looking car only 66k and supported by MOT’s though the steering wheel is very very shiny.
Had a bit of a fault, a hesitation to rev / misfire, though always started. Had new cam and crank sensor, then I thought it was shot cos plug holes were full of oil, my local chap put me right and fixed it, gasket, I then put new plugs in and new leads and an air meter / valve thing. Would start and drive, no EML light but would not accelerate / rev quickly, had a misfire, a bit of a problem in an auto.
Meanwhile swmbo had developed a fondness for my V6 Galant which was to be sold, so the Mig sat and sat and then I discovered oof.

First thing I discovered was that I should not of sold our old Mig for what I did, we live and learn.

Anyway, reading oof seemed to suggest that the Dis pack might be a problem, so I got one off ebay in November, finally fitted it, charged the battery and it started second slow turn. Result, seems to be very free revving and no sign of any misfire.

Brakes do not look too rusty, car sorned and out of MOT so could not take it up the road, might sneak it out tomorrow, don’t tell anyone.

Got back in the house and looked at the paperwork, realised that MOT still running for a couple of weeks, Result will give her a run out and get it in for an MOT asap
