Wow! Perhaps you could use one to make a Chocolate kettle, too!  ::)

It'd probably be as much use as a plastic gun. ::)

Recall someone in America (no surprise there) had made a gun from 3D printer and successfully fired it  :o

Concern being evasion at airport security. It only needs to fire once.

Although pointing an odd shaped lump of plastic at someone may not have quite the same effect. ;D

It won't be long before other materials can be used in 3D printing. Very exciting technology.

Not so exciting is the ease for terrorist use. They showed the American shooting the gun "3D printed".

Metallic 3D printing already exists - it's just very expensive right now.. even moreso than plastic.

But yes, a full printed gun has already been fired (more than once) in the US and plans are freely available.. I'm sure some simpleton will now try and legislate 3D printers out of existence..

Won't the ammo show up in an X-ray, or are they printing plastic bullets to fire with it?

Plus, I doubt you could make a plastic mecanism to work the firing pin....plus.....a guy on the bbc news says they aren't gun parts at all, just bits off a stripped-down printer. At ease, men.

Anyone know how the dimensions of a part are scanned in? What's needed?

Would I have to measure Charlez Theron for instance? Oh the pain. ::)

You can upscale or downsize. You could make a very small Charlez to match your very small.......erm......requirements. ::)
