key synch
« on: 06 November 2013, 21:52:12 »

Odd one .. or I'm just going daft .. :)

Changed the battery in the fob as it had been getting poor then stopped working with no LED ...

Went out to car, which was unlocked, so key in, ignition on, press lock .... nothing happened at all .. I expected all locks to pull in ... lock/unlock ... absolutely nowt :( ...  ignition off, remove key , press lock, and they all work, unlock ..... yup... window open, out of car, lock and hold .. yup windows shut correctly....

unlock and back into car, key in, ignition on, press lock .. absolutely nowt !!

So do I have a fault .. or does the "resynch" only work if "synch" is actually lost ??

Its doesn't need to resync if its already synced, so no work to do.

You have to be quite sluggish with the battery to need resync.

Yep, I unsoldered the battery holder and replaced it on mine yesterday. Still worked without a re-sync afterwards.
