Recommendations for Landline mobiles.

Ours have knackered batteries and I hate them anyway. Clunky software. Odd menus. Poxy answer phone access. Blah blah...


Any recommendations for 4 or 5 handsets with base station?

After going through a few DECT phones I came to the conclusion that they are all sh1te and don't bother any more. Rarely use the landline, in fact.

Needless to say, it's not for me.

I never answer the bloody thing. I'd prefer to bin the landline completely. But there we are. Mine is not to reason why... ::)

A bit of both really. Built down to a price, so little spent on making them user friendly or on managing the batteries so they last well. Then again, I must admit I haven't used any recent models. They may have improved. :(

We have been using BT Diverse 3000 series handsets for over ten years now with no problems at all. I've changed the batteries a couple of times - replacing the 600mAh ones supplied with Maplin 1300mAh and they do what they should.

I had a previous generation of these - easily the best one on the market at the time (although that wasn't particularly hard) and a million times better than the BT branded crap my parents bought (against my advice)..

Bought a pair of BT Elite (? Think thats the model) phones years, ticked all the boxes and allowed me to put the sim card from my mobile into the main base to copy yhe address book over, been very happy with them (Just had to renew the batties)

Also have a set of 4 Panasonic phones.

All DECT, 100% happy with both sets  :y

I have BT synergy DECT phones, had them for years, only 3 phones in the set tho.....no problems with them.....tho i suspect they charge the handsets all the time when in the holders....i try to remember to leave them to go flat now and then.....have changed the batts once, they take ordinary  AAA rechargeables.....so not a problem to change them....with cheap HK or China ones from fleabay  :y

One pain with them tho.....and not sure if this is the same with other cordless phones.....if you want to add a name/number to speed dial...or for caller display....you have to add it to each handset.

I have had the BT Aura DECT for a few months, not terribly impressed, they ocsnly lose their memories, and sometimes don't all ring even though well inside the wireless range, so I can't recommend them. :(

Could be faulty then.....if i take a handset outside of range, it beeps and says searching on the display....but to be honest i can take a handset anywhere in the house or garden....over 100ft long and it still rings/stays connected to the base station. Never had one of mine loose its memory even when i let them go flat  :)
