Possibly with "herb" growing sheds (thus a modest income)  :-X

Unfortunately the "herb" market there is highly saturated and meth is taking hold, wreaking havoc among communities :(

Was actually thinking west of the Atlantic ::)

On Kona, Big Island, Hawaii, you can buy a 5 acre plot with coffee trees (thus a modest income) for $50k and build your own 4 bed house, all en-suite with a double garage for around $200-250k.

Just saying ::)

when will be the next eruption ?  ;D if its longer than 20 years I'm going to buy :)

The triple garage and parking area I could be 'tempted' but only if I were thinking of downsizing, because the house looks a bit pokey, when looking at the pictures and floorplans of the rooms. :o

It is small!
I'd convert the garage to a living room and convert the small kitchen into an open plan kitchen/dining room with the reception room  :y

Shouldn't be allowed.

...unless building a suitably sized Man cave in the front garden as well, of course. ;)

Sorry but man-caves must be built underground with vehicular access, wife-proof locks, a bar and plenty of space for tools :y

White cat, large black leather chair and a penchant for laughing in the Muwahahahahahahaha manner entirely optional ::)

I don't have a problem with that. I'll even wear the swimming cap. ;D

I'd agree with that  :y

But as it stands that house is totally wrong, proportion wise.....the garage is bigger than the living area!! ....

I agree the house living area is small, smaller than mine. Price wise I would say about right for this area of Sandhurst, where it is on a big plot and obviously has a triple garage. It is not on a rat run, but a busy main road.

Now if you want a house in an expensive part of Sandhurst, these are Thibet Road, Robin Lane and Scotland Hill. An example is:

http://www.romans.co.uk/Property-to-buy/in-GU47%209AF/Thibet%20Road/GU47%209AR/52705

The cheapest area in Sandhurst is Owlsmoor, which is a big sprawling estate, if that rocks your boat, it certainly doesn't mine and has good parts, okay parts and rough parts, but compared to central Sandhurst the amenities are poor.

Yeah, see, that double will only take one car. :(

Sandhurst is too far south for me. 12 hour shifts in slough could quite easily turn into a 14 hour day. Or more.

It would need to be a particularly special property to justify that.

Trouble is, the house we have is prety hard to beat. If it was slightly bigger, with a double garage, and a bit more rural.... Etc etc. ::)

Oh, and a big one, out of the flight path to Heathrow.

My ideal house is 2 doors down. But I couldn't afford it when it came up for sale earlier this year  :-[
