I find the new 8 speed auto box always manages more than I can get from a 6 speed manual BMW.

A manual 3.2 will get from mine in deepest darkest West Sussex to Potter Heigham in deepest darkest Narfik and back on a single tank, about 420 miles

Around town with a dead thermostat, I have been struggling to get anywhere near 300
