Very briefly: I parked in a council car park last week and the machine did not issue a ticket when I paid. This was witnessed by a young lady driving an Audi Q. I wrote a short note and put it in my car but, of course, got a SCN (£45).The Audi was still there so I put a note under her wiper asking her to ring me. She did ring and said she was willing to speak to the council to say what she had witnessed.
I appealed, enclosing a copy of the note I left and the good lady's contact details. Just got a letter saying the appeal had been allowed but don't do it again you naughty boy. Yea.....

We buy any car offered me £105 for my Omega recently, but when I offer it to them again next year they will still give me £105! Not bad!! 

When you try your Daewoo this time next year you'll get offered about £4800.... Ouch!!
