Tiffins booked, 8pm, Sat 21st Dec, currently for 17. If anyone else wants to come, shout up ASAP, as obviously most places are getting busy on the Saturday before Christmas.

The only hotel in Brackley is The Crown, virtually next door to Tiffins. This hotel has a bad reputation on OOF following the Brackley Cambelt do a few years ago, can't remember why? Lazydocker has stayed there more recently, so may be worth dropping him a PM for comments. Its an old coaching inn, so rooms are likely to be quite small and full of character quirky.

Next nearest hotels are the Travelodge at Cherwell Services on the M40 (5-6 miles), Premier Inn at Brackley Hatch on A43 (5 miles, may be known as Silverstone), or Holiday Inn Express at Banbury by Jnc 11 (10 miles). Obviously all these will need taxi or designated driver.

I will nip down to Tourist Info later to see if I can get any B&B/Guesthouses info in town.

I have a spare room here, and seperate lounge and dining room if anyone wants to bring an airbed. First priority to Admin Team, past or present, then in post count order.

Anyone wishing to do some shopping whilst here, Milton Keynes shopping centre (The Centre:MK) is about 25 miles, Banbury (smaller shops, more independent, but with a few big stores), about 11 miles, Bicester Village (Designer Outlet) about 10 miles.

I don't think we can really make this, bearing in mind the imminent arrival of mini LD :-X :y

Have fun :y :y

Oh, and the hotel was OK... Nothing special and breakfast was a bit on the small side but if all you need is somewhere to sleep then it's OK... Nothing more than OK, but OK... I've stayed in worse ;)

I don't have one that can handle 395V and up to 125A.....

What time are people arriving? I understand little fatty needs work doing to the rusty bullet, as there has been a build up in jobs to do. I'm going to send my 3.2 to be MOT'd that Saturday, I need to polish the headlights on the 2.2 but other than that no serious work for me. Although finding that blend flap on the 3.2, would prove useful.

Is anyone else doing work? Do I need to prepare MotherT & FatherT for an influx of Omega's and work done?

Ps, what's parking like around the Tiffin as I'll be driving?

Parking not usually a problem, but that is for one. If there are say 10, could be fun. Could always park near TBs or mine and we all go down in a few cars.

As the Tunster says, there is a small car park opposite, but usually quite full. If you look on Google maps (map, not satelite), the car park is between Market Place and Market Place. Tiffins is just across the road. Further parking is in the 2 narrow High Street roads either side of the main High Street.

Easier parking is available in Waitrose (from Tiffins, got down Market Place, turn right into Banbury Road, right into Manor Road, right into the unamed road (this is the Waitrose carpark). To walk from carpark, walk to Waitrose store entrance, along side of store, and there is an alleyway which brings you out into Marketplace, turn left up towards Tiffins. (Walk is in red on map below).

Parking options in town highlighted yellow on map, Tiffins is blue T, Crown is blue H
