Really annoys me that my girls junior school can't call a Christmas fair just that has to be called a winter fair

I asked head teacher why to which she replied 'cause it offends certain cultures' well my blood started to boil. She then told me that they aren't having a Christmas play ie nativity but another cultural play set in Africa. Well I then lost the plot and I must of sounded like the biggest racist going!

I don't mind different cultures going to school and learning about our culture and customs but when we have to change our cultures and beliefs that's when I think it's totally wrong.

Its accepted that there other cultures in the uk, but we should not, indeed, must not change our culture or traditions for anyone.
Like you....it makes my blood boil. And the best bit is, that 99% of those who are supposed to be offended, are not. In fact they realise that trying to change these things, only increase anger/racism and non acceptance of other cultures

It's probably not her fault personally Cleggy, but directives from above. 

That said its wrong.  I very much doubt that they would alter Eid al Adha in Pakistan or Indonesia or Diwali in India, for fear of upsetting other religious groups in those countries.

I don't see the problem with offending people. Happens to me often enough, both giving and, no doubt, receiving. 

Of course, if you aren't able to handle being offended occasionally, there's a solution. They call it a boat.

Indeed. Surely if you are in a country where your religion/culture/whatever is not the majority one, you accept how they do it instead instead of getting offended? If you don't, refer to the aforementioned boat.

Political Correctness I personally find very, very, offensive and that is why it makes my blood boil.  Personally, I would withdraw my child from school for the day in such circumstances on the grounds that this is a christian country, with the CofE our official religion and Christmas is a christian religious festival.

If people who move to this country don't find our way of life acceptable then they should move to a country that is more agreeable. But in reality most do find it very agreeable and aren't offended, it is only in the minds of Government employed left wing Common Purpose subversives and their ilk, who want to brainwash the next generation.

I don't know about other people but I'm glad I'm leaving this country as me and the EU / Westminster socialism constantly make me very angry. The United Kingdom and me are no longer compatible, sad but true.

The company i work for,did some logo floor mats for force india f1 team.Dropped them off 4 weeks ago,went back week after to exchange for clean,i was told they cant be used,because they had the indian flag on them,and it was disrespectful to walk over them.
