Impatient ignition start
« on: 30 November 2013, 16:19:00 »

Does it matter if the car is started before all the check lights have gone out  :-\ Ive noticed sometimes the fuel gauge reads incorrect if this is done . Just wondering if any long term damage could be done to any other part  :-\ Oh and i dont make a regular habit of it  ::) ;D

If I jump in mine and wind the key over, there's a two second delay before anything happens ::) guess it takes a bit of time to register the key chip :-\

If drive, then stop. Then quickly restart say few mins later, it can take some time for fuel gauge to read right. That said it's barely enough to get about the red  ;D

In my astra the ignition switch was the cause to burn the starter motor out , switch to start and the key was supposed to spring back but it never ..so starter burnt out  :( I always check to see if the key has returned now after starts . If i start the omega quickly and dont wait for check lights to go out , sometimes there is a pause like what been said  :y

I've never waited for the checklights to go out???????

Starter spins instantly on turn of the key  :-\
