National Audit Office is a QUANGO overseeing QUANGOS. I get emails from them on the release of their latest reports. They are a bit like reading a government report on the progress on the government's latest 5 year tractor plan.
Today they have released a report on the Department of Energy and Climate change. One of the departments remits is:
"promote action in the EU and internationally to maintain energy security and mitigate dangerous climate change"
So be careful when you step outside into the Climate and make sure you don't have an accident with the "dangerous climate change" bit.

Part of the justification for the NAO is to save the government money and they estimated that they saved them £1.2bn last year, which might look impressive, but in reality is 0.16% of government spending, meanwhile in the real world, businesses have to increase their productivity by 1-2% a year just to keep up with the competition.
