Pity anyone starting work now and working till they are 68 , 69 , 70, 75, .... before getting their state pension.

Anyone aged 18 to 21 claiming benefits without basic English or Maths will be required to undertake training from day one or lose their entitlement. People unemployed for more than six months to be forced to start a traineeship, take work experience or do a community work placement or lose benefits.

2018 for me, just squeezed into the 65 pension age. 36 years of contributions gets me a full pension and a second state pension. That will change in 2014 though, to a flat rate of about £140.

Not too sure as to whether you will lose benefit of 2nd pension given your age. I would expect transitional arrangement.

There will be no 2nd pension after 2014, but you need 35 years contributions to get the full pension. Less years = less pension....down to a minimum of course.

Hmm...and what about the extra £11billion to be paid to EU institutions. Bet they were hoping no-one would notice that small detail today.
