What's the point vettel will be 80 points clear any way so won't really make it that exciting.

My idea was the more you win a race by then next race have a weight put in by how much you won last race by say 1kg for every second up until say 8th place when points stop May be :)

Short of paying off Adrian Newey, who is the real winner not which ever Muppet is in the car. You can't make F1 very interesting, as it's his ability to bend the rules in his car designs which makes Adrian unbeatable.

"But it will be the introduction of double points and a cost cap that will provoke most interest."

Interest? No.

F1 should go back to basics with identical cars, engines and tyres. Strictly enforced with any team trying to gain a mechanical/aerodynamical advantage instantly disqualified from the race with no appeal.  :)

It should be about the drivers!! May the best man win!!!  :y

Yes...but...if you do that then it won't matter what car you use, the best driver will win. You could use 1.6 Astra's or even a dae............nah. ;D

Drivers will also choose a race number for the duration of their career.

Well there would be a rush for number one. 666 wouldn't be very popular. Vettel could have that. 13 could be allocated to Paul Di Resta and so on.

While they are at it they could have a joker they could play before a race to double their points. Would be handy for a good driver in a mediocre car if it was going to be a wet race.

My thoughts exactly, I've said it often enough :y :y :y :y

I think Bernie's gone senile double points for the last race ;D ;D....he should retire, but then he couldn't keep his daughters in the style to which they are spoilt ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
