I have a Wasp building a nest in my shed.
« on: 31 May 2008, 17:58:46 »

I noticed some activity of a Wasp going in & out of my shed the other day & when i was having my dinner i saw her again. So when i went to get my mower out, yup there she was building away. I had another Wasp building one some years ago, but i touched it when she had only just started & with being very fragile i must have cracked her workmanship & so she abandened it. I'll leave this one to build away & i'll take pictures of it as she progresses. After that it'll be time to leave as i don't want the little buggers every where (I have kids next door).

If they are building - Make sure that they have hard hats and Steel toe caps on -- you don't wanna fall foul of the "Health & Safety" bods -  ;D ;D ;D

PS. They should already be wearing yellow  hi - viz jackets ;D ;D

For 60 quid you can get someone to come and spray some stuff in there.  One week later no more nest  :y

We had wasps build a nest in the folds of a garden chair while it was in the shed a couple of years back. No wonder I couldn't find where they were going.

Good idea. Put all your junk in the shed first. Then, when you're finished, go and buy a new shed. :-[
