Anyone use satellite Internet
« on: 11 December 2013, 19:52:04 »

Anyone on the forum use satellite Internet ?

We haven't got copper or fibre and probably never will have.

I have been looking at swapping from 3G to KA satellite. It is resold by various people but one is Tooway Home Bentley Walker. My current monthly allowance is a paltry 5GB

One downside is big Ping but Skype would still work and some very strange algorythm for sinners that breach the "fair usage policy". It seems to be easy to find unhappy users on the Internet and as it is a pan European product doesn't seem to be covered by any countries "Oftel" equivalent. Having jumped through hoops here complaining about Orange when they lost my faulty dongles SIM I don't want to move to another rubbish outfit.
