2.5 v6 temperature hand not working?

2.5 v6 temperature hand in dash dosnt work, seems to sowrk the very odd time like if you were on a hill?

Check the connection on the sensor ..... single terminal sensor right at the back of the engine - blue wire (the other sensor 'talks' to the engine  ;)) it might just need crimping a little with pliers to tighten the connector

If it works when the engine is working hard its more likely to be a stuck open thermostat :y

Op did say it works sometimes like when on a hill :y

Could be the movement of the engine making a better contact ......  8)  8) ;)

It's like a drawing pin head .... round & flat  ;)

It's the sensor with nothing connected to it. The wire that goes to it is the blue wire in the black sleeve lurking in the back ground

was thinking that. keept putting it on but wud come off again. just needed crimpoed. thanks for all the help ;D
