I can't understand why the good people of London don't just beat the shite out of them.

because most people dont give a toss  the fact is you would get a long stretch as it definately would go down as a race crime and i would imagine they stick to east london where they are the majority  saying that if they tried it in most parts of se london they would get a beating  would love to see them spout off near my local pub that would be interesting

About ten years ago in that papers supplement there was an article by a high ranking Muslim spokesman, I remember showing it to a colleague the last line was "We will not be happy till the flag of Islam is flying in Downing street". unless someone in power has the balls to do something I fear that this may happen..

Maybe the thread should be retitled 'Future of London'. The East End is like downtown Kabul.

And then there's China town, Asian community's, etc etc. most of which understand "understanding" and "tolerance"  The idea being that tolerance should be repaid.

Some posters on this thread cannot imo have spent much time in East London (Whitechapel area in particular ) in recent times.

Tolerance is subjective though, isn't it?
