Been for a run around the block.

Jump started the Mig today, been off the road since November. Had the battery on charge for 24 hours but still flat, will get a replacement tomorrow. :(
My main worry was the brakes, had they seized up and on, seems I had been sensible and parked it up without the handbrake on, Auto so in park. Went for a little spin around the block, ;) ;) drove fine, bit of rust on brake disks which will wear off. :)
I forgot how quiet this car is and how smooth, is has always had a bit of a misfire since I got it of ebay, and was only ever used, by us to go to the tip, but lovely and smooth now. Fingers corssed. :)
Only problem seems to be the exhaust, on tick over lots of rattles, from inside? Ok with a few revs and when driving, any ideas? Can it be fixed?
Taxed it, on line, will get a battery and run it for a few days to clear it out, MOT not due for a week or so, and I thought it had run out in April.

Best of all the tank is almost full of cheap petrol, bought last October. :y

Watch the handbrake mind .. I believe that if not used regularly they can fail in the OFF position ... means a problem at MOT time ...  :(

Might be worth checking ....  ??
