Ok, I have taken both bolts out but the alt is still not budging. It feels like its being held by something else. Does it slide out forward or to the left and then forward?

Any input appreciated.

Move it to the left (o/side) and jiggle it out, not much play in the two electrical connectors though

Tried that but didn't work. I then gave it a gentle whack with a hammer which freed it. Replaced the alt and now putting the bagpipes back. Bagpipes are in position but looks a little high. Can someone confirm its supposed to be level with the plenum

Thanks

Should sit a smidgen below iirc :-\

Are both the mounting pegs seated fully? One next to air filter box and one on the subframe :y

Mounting pegs were in place but it was the plastic plug at the bottom of the bagpipes that pushes through a grommet which was not aligned.

But success, its done and working sweet. Thanks to RobG for supplying the part
