Go for it tunnie, the yanks really do reward their work force and you wont get screwed to the floor when you try to do anything. If you work hard  you get the rewards, over here you get less the more you work.

GO FOR IT  :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y

.... and the dollar/pound exchange rate is in the UK favour at the moment.   If doing sums based on this, remember the bang per buck will improve when the exchange rate improves - or plummet, as the case may be!!   :y

If t'were me, in your position, I would be out there, faster than a ... er ... fast thing!

Still, needs a bit of thought -- but I would apply while the offer is still there -- you can always back out later ------ give you some thinking time

One thing to bear in mind is no National Health Service, you have to pay private medical insurance. Can be costly.
Only 10 days holiday per year
Plus points are pound against the dollar is very favourable for you at the moment.
Plus point, very reasonable house prices, and you will get far more space and land than you can probably dream of here.

The US has an awful lot going for it, but would I go, no I would not, I now have an American manager and he is the laziest person I have ever worked with.

There are many plus and minus points to the US

Ultimatly only you can decide if it is the right thing to go for.

If you can get the company to sort the legal stuff (not easy getting work permits within the states) then why not go for it...........
